Peasant to a king are an Irish hardcore/metal band based in Galway they formed in 2016 and released their first single the next year, senatus is their EP released at the beginning of 2019.

After listening to the EP both live and recorded I have to say I love the vocals by Ben Doyle,  his vocals keep in time and although theyre harsh screams theyre still more intelligible than most, I also enjoyed the guitars by Stephen and James although I'm not a fan of distortion in guitars they make great use of it.

I couldn't hear Lees bass enough but what I did hear it shows he spent hours and years practicing, I also really enjoyed Evans drums, he kept time perfectly, all the songs were very well paced and I love how it goes from slow in praelucto to heavy and hard in Speak of the devil.

The EP as a hole has been my favorite so far, if you're a fan of metal or hardcore music like Whitechapel and Asking Alexandria Peasant to a king is a must hear. You can hear the influence in the music. This EP has 5 heavy and hard hitting tracks and really is a must hear
