Can you introduce the band?
Barrett
We are Jon of Mars, I’m Barrett and I play guitar and sing, then there’s Wendall Holmes on Bass, and Jordan Karg on keys and drums for the album

Where did the name come from?
Barrett
It’s my middle name and my favorite planet! It sounded pretty cool when I said it out loud and there was no seconding guessing involved!

You have an album coming out can you tell us about the recording process?
Barrett
It was hell, we had 6 weeks to put the entire thing together as far as song structure, and the mixing/mastering process took about 6 months to complete, with all of us working full time jobs and Jordan being in school. I cannot state enough how stressful this endeavor was!

Do you have plans to tour this release?
Barrett
Not at the moment, but if we’re able to find some resources to make that happen we all definitely would love to go out there and make a tour happen!

Can you tell us about the music scene where you’re from?
Barrett
There was, at one point, a ridiculously large scene in the area where we’re from. Sadly it is mostly gone now, and we’re forced to play shows in cities that are usually an hour or two away from us.

Was music something you’ve always wanted to do
Barrett
Oh yeah, there was almost never any doubt in my mind that I was going to do music for as long as I possibly can, there are very things that I enjoy more than making music that people enjoy.
