About the band

Semtex was formed in Minnesota in July 2017, they released the album Concentrated Execution in January 2019.

The review

The album is seven songs long, and each track is as heavy as the last, the album is very guitar heavy with bullet sounding drums in the background, the vocals are very Iron Maiden sounding, that being higher than normal but not too high at the same time.

You can clearly hear the thrash and death metal influences in the music, they have amazingly played solos in each song bringing back the early days of metal, they aren't as reliant on heavy vocals as most metal bands but do utilize it in some songs if only briefly.

The album all together is amazing and i would totally recommend it if your a fan of early thrash or death metal, i'd definitely listen to it again.
