Nomadas - Armagedon Review

Nomadas is an alternative rock band based in Arica, Chile in 2019, they released their debut album ‘Armagedon’ in November 2020. (I want to note that I spelled the album the way the band spelled it dont @ me)

The review

The album begins with ‘Acechado’, a heavy, fastpaced and catchy track, it serves as an excellent introduction and helps set the tone for the rest of the album, we also get a very well played and well written guitar solo mid way through, next song ‘Desierto’ the next song keeps up the pace and cathiness of the last song.

Skipping ahead a little to ‘Impulso De Poder’, this track comes off as a little more punk than previous songs and as previously, we get more blaring guitar solos, ‘Armagedon’ the title track starts out with what sounds like horns and marching drums before the guitars begin, it begins slower which is a nice change of pace, it does speed up and is still as catchy as previous songs. Finally the song ‘Insomnio’ starts out sounding like a heavy metal inspired track, this time the one of the lads in the band takes the vocals but is soon joined by vocalist of the band Tiare.

In conclusion

In all the album sounds like it has a wide mix of influences from alternative rock to heavy metal, from Tiares vocals to Walters guitar, Franciscos bass and Guillermos drums, it all comes together beautifully, as with Sedimento, all of Nomadas lyrics are in Spanish so unfortunately I can’t understand them but the vocals are clear enough that if I did i’d be able to understand perfectly. From my research this is their debut album and for a debut it’s really well made.

They blew it out of the park on this, and it shows that every member of the band is passionate about their craft and I’m genuinely excited to see what comes next.
