The review

We start out with the title track ‘In Somber dreams’, heavy and melodic, the screaming vocals contrast really well with the more mellow instrumental, the small amount of clean vocals mid way through the song help break it up and just sound amazing. The music picking up and getting more intense near the end is a really cool stylistic choice before going back to the calmer to play out the listener. This song works as an opener, it gives us a sense of what’s to come.

‘Nameless burial’ is next and again starts off heavy and melodic, they manage to sound really heavy but really calm and its amazing, this time the vocals start out almost sounding spoken and electronic before slowly becoming heavier. There’s either piano or xylophone in the background which contrasts heavily with the heavier guitar and drums and gives the song a really cool sound and feel. ‘The Urn’ is the next track, keeping the heaviness of the rest of the album and the last and probably catchiest song ‘Deliverance’ has a very abrupt ending

The conclusion

I loved it, they add extra stuff into the instrumentals that just make it sound really cool and different, I love the vocals and how the music can contrast them, if you’re into melodic, heavy music these lads should definitely be on your playlist, I’ll be checking more of their music out too.
