Words That Burn - Den of lions (single review)

Introduction

Dundalk metal titans Words that burn are back and better than ever with a new single ‘Den of lions’ released on August 24th 2021, after coming back from Bloodstock festival in the UK, the band had been hinting at a new release for a while so I was pretty excited when it came out. Yes I was supposed to do this review sooner, yes I have been trying to do it, but its here now.

The Review

The single is heavy from the very beginning, Roni’s heavy vocals are amazing as always and the clean vocals are really cool, they definitely fit with the song, the switch between the vocal styles is seamless I love how quickly and effortlessly its done. The almost whispered clean vocals around the middle of the song are really cool too and give a really nice feel to it, like its building up to something, the chorus is very catchy and memorable.
