Interview with Liliac
Liliac are an American band based in California made up of Siblings Melody, Abigail, Samuel, Ethan and Justin, they we're kind enough to answer some questions for me
MM: Your covers of songs like Enter Sandman and especially Holy diver got a lot of attention, how do you all feel about all the positive reactions?
Liliac: It really means a lot to us to see the amount of attention it’s getting and we thank everyone who follows and supports our music. We really appreciate all the positive reactions, it makes us feel incredible!
MM: You are all siblings, did you all have the same music taste growing up?
Liliac: Yes, as siblings we listened and discovered new music together. Music has always been a big part of our lives, especially having our dad who is a big music influence. We all had a passion to pursue music.
MM: Who’s idea was it to start the band?
Liliac: Our dad is a music producer and he guided us in music. He saw that we have the passion for music so he gave us instruments to learn and from there we started the band.
MM: Do any of you have any other secret talents apart from playing music?
Liliac: Melody, the lead singer, really loves to paint. She has sold most of her paintings to our fans. Samuel, the lead guitarist, does video editing and edited our music videos and vlogs. Abigail, the drummer, is great with photoshop. She makes all our flyers, the album cover and our band logo! A part from music and school Ethan and Justin enjoy video games.
MM: Are there any musicians you would want to work with?
Liliac: We hope that one day to work and open up for bands such as Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne or Halestorm because they inspired us to be the musicians we are today!
MM: Have you all always wanted to be musicians?
Liliac: The moment we started playing music, we knew that’s what we wanted to do because it’s what we enjoy and we have a blast performing in front of crowds.
MM: Do you want to say anything else to the readers?
