Alicia

Can you introduce the band?

Street tombs

Street Tombs is:

Damian Jacoby - guitar, vocals

David McMaster - guitar, vocals

Ben Brodsky - drums

Galen Baudhuin - bass

Alicia

Where did the name come from?

Street tombs

Our goal early on was to play punked out death metal and we felt Street Tombs encompasses that. You kinda get an idea of the music based on the name. Street (Punk) Tombs (Death). Plus it’s the only name Ben liked.

Alicia

You have an album coming out, can you tell us about the recording process?

Street tombs

The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by our friend Augustine Ortiz at The Decibel Foundry in Santa Fe, NM. We rehearsed the songs heavily, and recorded everything together in a room, other than the vocals, which were finalized and recorded in the following months.

Alicia

Do you have plans to tour this release

Street tombs

We are currently looking into touring in the spring or summer if possible. There are many factors, but hopefully it pans out and we can bring these songs to more people.

Alicia

Can you tell us about the music scene where you’re from

Street tombs

New Mexico has a small but thriving music scene. There are a lot of dedicated fans and friends that always come out no matter what.

Alicia

Was music something you’ve always wanted to do?

Street tombs

Yes. Music has always been in our blood. We’ve all made playing music a top priority in our lives and it continues to be a necessary outlet.

Alicia

Is there anything in the works you can tell us about?

Street tombs

We’re always working on new material, but obviously it will be awhile until the next album. In the meantime we’re working on some physical release options for our second demo and getting shows lined up to promote Reclusive Decay.

Alicia

Is there anything you want to share or promote

Street tombs

Go to Carbonized records and get the album!
