The review

The bands sound is different to the others I’ve covered, from the almost bluesy vocals to the prog and funk sounding instrumental, they seem to blend so many genres that you wouldn’t assume work together and pull it off seamlessly it hearkens back to bands such as Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Blondie and musicians like Pat Benatar. They obviously know what they’re doing.

They manage to fit into so many different genres and truly are a band for everyone, I loved every second of this 3 minute track, from the clean, clear vocals to the pounding drums and heavy but not quite metal guitar, it’s easy to sing along to and even people with a dislike of rock in general could get into it, I truly believe these Belfast up-and-comers are a band for everyone.

Vocalist Hayley has a unique voice and paired with band-mates Mickey, Micheal and Stevey it just brings the whole thing together, they’ve only been around since 2018 but you would’t know that by listening, they’ve crafted their sound so well it sounds like they’ve been doing it a good while.

I can’t wait to hear what they release next, this being my first time hearing them i’m already a fan, but of course I also want to know what you all think, you can follow the band on social media @papertigersni and check out this and their other track on spotify, flames is certainly something i’d listen to again!
