What’s going on in the Irish scene

If you’re in the Irish Metal scene you may have noticed some drama over the past few days, well i’m here to explain to the best of my ability whats going on and whats publicly been said. Firstly though a bit of background. So the main focus of the drama is a guy named Seasan, the owner of a facebook group called ‘Ireland Metal Heads’ the group which now boasts around 13K members (As of the time of writing) from not just Ireland but around the world was created back in 2019.

Seasan was and still is the main face of the group and he’s where the issues mostly lie, from all my research. He has a lot of accusations leveled against him, accusations including multiple instances of sexual harassment, partnering with scam companies, leaking unannounced gigs, art theft and so much more. It's clear that he has some explaining to do.

In response to all this, several bands and Clang festival have either cut ties with or expressed never having ties with Seasan and the IMH group including following the signs, Two Tales of Woe and Psykosis. Ireland Metal Heads made a now deleted announcement calling it a “Derogatory war of words'' (Full statement at the end)

Thanks for reading, I didn’t want to use anything that wasn’t publicly known, this is just to catch people who might be confused up, I have my own personal issues with him but I tried being as neutral as possible. I will be keeping an eye out for developments.
