Alicia

Can you Introduce the band?

Reilly

Our band is Supermodel Taxidermy. We are a punk/thrash band based out of Fort McMurray, Alberta Canada! If you are a fan of heavy riffs, blasting drums and catchy vocals, we are the band for you.

Alicia

Where did the name come from?

Reilly

It came from a friend of the singer quite some time ago, showcasing all the fake news and appearances in our everyday life and in the world! Don’t be superficial, be yourself, is what it represents.

Alicia

Your album just came out can you tell us about the recording process.

Reilly

The recording process was a lot of fun, it was a blast to play together in a studio, it was a lot of work as well, very much worth it. Just goes to show if you put your time in, good things will come!

Left to right: Reilly Williams, Shawn Maynard and Mike Cheney

Alicia

Do you have plans to tour this release?

Reilly

We do, currently we’re in the midst of booking a tour supporting the new album for this summer in our home province of Alberta, Canada! Stay tuned to our social media accounts for more info.

Alicia

Can you tell us about the music scene where you’re from?

Reilly

It’s a close-knit town. We have a lot of local music and players; everyone is very much supportive of each other’s work. It goes to show how special music is and the effect it has on people.

Alicia

Was music something you’ve always wanted to do?

Reilly

Always. Myself (Reilly Williams) was drawn to the drums in my teen years and never looked back. It’s been very rewarding and most of all, a ton of fun to interact and play with other people and family! Music is a part of my everyday life and I’d never have it any other way.
